Past Grand Galloping Group Meet, Chelmsford - 31st March 2012

Well hello everypony!

I'd like to take a moment of your time to tell you that you have been cordially invited to the Essex Grand Galloping Group Meet!

WHEN: This meet will take place on Saturday the 31st of March 2012 and will be hosted/organised by myself and SweetSparkle.

The meet will begin at 10.00am and all attendees will be given until 10.30am to arrive before activities will begin. Attendees will be given my mobile number in case of any problems, e.g. travel delays etc and will need to contact me in as much advance as possible once they know they will be delayed.

WHERE: All attendees will be met by the host outside the front entrance Costa Coffee at Chelmsford Rail Station. (As you come down the stairs from the platforms you see it, you really can't miss it.) After this we will be going to the park for socialising and mingling.

WHAT: This will be a somewhat small meet, as far as I'm aware, with the objective to find (and buy ) any and all varieties of pony merchandise and toys. There will be a lot walking as there are quite a few pony stockists both in the town centre and the retail village (a short 20 minute walk away).

Lunch will be a picnic in the park, if you are unable to bring your own food there are plenty of places we can get you a take away burger too.

SPECIAL SURPRISES: Had to change the goody-bag rules since I wasn't expecting such a huge response, thank you guys. ^w^ There are 30 goody-bags prepared and they'll be first come first served.

EXTRA DETAILS!

Well my lovelies, isn't this a treat?

The Grand Galloping Group Meet now has a venue! - Sort of.

Unfortunately The Red Sun had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances as they will no longer be open by the time of the meet.

HOWEVER

The lovely folks of The Golden Fleece have offered a nice table for us to sell our charity cupcakes, and it means that all of you over 18 may have a little tipple with lunch.

Please do NOT go overboard as we will still be going round shops after lunch and I do not want a load of drunkards getting arrested yelling about ponies.

That would not be good.

So have fun, but be sensible.

The Fleece also offer food, such as PIZZA, and who doesn't love pizza? So if you're not packing a lunch and having the picnic in the park, you can get some noms while you're there.

CONTEST

To enter the contest please draw a fullbody picture of Twilight Sparkle with her companion Spike for the chance of winning a beautiful tradition illustration by Mazzy of Twilight Sparkle herself!

GAMES

As long as I manage to get these goodybags sorted well in advance, which is looking promising now, there will be a pin the tail on the pony game, where the winner will receive an adorable My Little Pony crown!!!

CHARITY FUNDRAISING

During the picnic at the park there will be pony themed cupcakes on sale to raise money from the working animal charity The Brooke, as you may know this charity works very closely with working animals, primarily donkies. And since we want to make some Cranky Doodle Donkies Smile Smile Smile, this seemed to be the perfect charity to support!
