John de Lancie's Documentary

While reading the kickstarter's page for the brony documentary, I found this interesting tidbit.

Note the bold part. You reckon they'll come over to BUCK? JdL might even attend. I'm remaining hopeful.

BUCK seems to be the most notable, so I reckon there would be a very good chance he'll turn up. It would make Denegoth's day too

It is, although Manchester seems to be a lot closer to the Atlantic than Stuttgart. However, it looks like they'll both be equally as big, so there might be a good chance John de Lancie can make it to both.

Even if he doesn't go, the notoriety we have for BUCK, I reckon we'd manage to get in on this documentary.

Well, we sent an e-mail a few days ago inviting him, so it's up to him whether he can/wants to now. The ball is very much in his court. He's a busy man, and this would take a lot of planning, so I don't expect a reply back for a few weeks at the very least.

And now the waiting game commences.

Gah, i am so annoyed... at this time i wont be able to go to B.U.C.K, tickets are a bit pricey and travel will be a nightmare... i live in the south-east... im pretty sure you can guess the rest

Even with advance train tickets and cheap hostels nearby?

I just realised I had a hand (albeit a small one) in getting JdL to BUCK. Oh man.

I don't really think distance would be that much of a decider if they do come over from across the pond. After all, after travelling a few thousand miles with a bunch of people and equipment, another few hundred is probably nothing.

Well i am VERY strapped for cash and i did donate a lot to the Bronycon Documentary Kickstarter, i don't have a source of income, plus i'm only 16... it's not like im going to have secret stacks of money lying about all over the place... i dont think...

Sorry to burst your bubble dude, but we've been in contact with him for a few weeks now, and I'd already seen this supporter e-mail a few days ago. But thanks for making the thread and doing what you could! We really appreciate when you guys come out of the woodwork and make suggestions on how we can improve the con! I can see how excited everyone is about this, and I didn't really want to say anything before in case the rumours started getting blown out of proportion. As I say, it's not even a thing yet, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
