Season 2, Episodes 25-26 - A Canterlot Wedding (Finale)

Wow! What a finale!! Truly amazing. An awesome trio of songs, too. Anyone heard the Archie remix of Love is in Bloom?

I was thinking this would be pretty good too, like the whole Pinkie/Pinkamena thing. I don't see enough people doing it though :/

I just realized something, prince Blueblood wasn't at the royal wedding, perhaps he wasn't royal enough.

That's what I was assuming, to be honest. I doubt he'd want to bump into Rarity again after how angry she got with him when that cake hit her in the face xD



Rarity may be my least favourite of the main characters, but god did I love this scene xD

But in the episode sweet and elite she is standing right next to him

He also appears several times in the song.

I didn't even try to notice, he was blatantly in your face in front of Rarity, frankly I'm more surprised you didn't notice.

I can't wait to see some humanised cadence/shining/chrysalis art. For some reason I'm always really interested what ponied would look like as humans. That and gender swapped, it really interests me to think what cadence would look like as a boy and shining as a girl. Oh, and I can't wait to see people cosplay them too! Lol

There are at leat two DA groups dedicated to the changelings already too.

I've seen quite a few people saying that they felt the end part of the episode felt rushed and that once Shining Armour was released from Queen Chrysalis' spell she was defeated very quickly.
I think this is probably a fair criticism, but also one of the most positive criticisms that can be given about a show, because it shows the amount of potential that was still to be used in what's already been seen as a truly great episode. Its highly likely that the production team would have had ideas that would have stretched out the ending somewhat further but had to cut things down due to time constraints. The same criticism was made about the Discord episodes.
This, for me, is why it feels rushed, but with an audience saying "we loved that, but wanted a bit more of x, y, z" it shows both DHX and Hasbro that the viewers feel confident enough in all those involved that they could manage to create even longer epsiodes, maybe even a movie, and that we would be happy to see that in future as we know how well they could do it with the right story.
I wouldn't want a whole series made up of 2-3 part episodes, I still very much like the single episode formats, but when the bigger stories are there it'd be good to see them given even greater freedoms than they've already been given.

Tl;dr: Ending was a bit rushed, but that should only be seen as a positive for the future.
