I'm going to have to put in my vote for the National Autistic Society - I've worked with a lot of people in the Autistic spectrum, and I even know some. You'll even find that our fandom will have people in the Autism boat, too.

I voted for Barnardo's. This decision was not influenced by me having volunteered with them for the better part of a year.
    (Nah, it was really.)

Pretty much why I suggested it in the first place. They have a newsletter called Asperger United, which focuses on Aspergers' but also caters for the other elements. I reckon if the NAS wins the vote, I'll shoot them a letter/email telling them about us and stuff.

Although I initially voted Barnado's, I think the National Autistic Society would be the best choice, since I, myself have an ultra-high functioning form of autism, and there are a significant number of people in the fandom that have some form of ASD. My mum is also a supporter of them, and has worked at my primary school where they do deal with autistic children.

I will be doing two prints for this, both planned. One a high detail one off painting of Firenze. The second will be a high detail painting of TF2 Sniper Pony, both done especially for the event.

I also wish tochange my vote to the NAS too, I know a few autistic kids, and my mum works with them alot, and its her primary role at her job.

Ok, I am in the process of making something for this, I will make more of an effort since it's going to be sold, and I will also have to get permission from the person who's OC it is (though they will probably say yes)

Not giving anything away just yet though

    Edit: Answer was yes!

I voted the CF trust for the advent of gene therapy. We're so close to developing a way to easily correct the faulty gene which causes cystic fibrosis that I feel any money put towards research funds in this area will be a big help to sending cystic fibrosis to join TB, polio, tetanus and such.

Don't forget we still need people to donate for our charity auction. If you have items that you can donate please do so.

Also don't forget to vote on which charity we should support!

The poll has been running for months now, and I think we've gotten a good number of responses. I've set it to close in 7 days time, so if you haven't voted, do so and make your opinion count!

Seems good to me. I probably mentioned this before, but I'll say again, if the NAS does win this (and it certainly seems so at this rate!), I'll send a letter with the details about BUCK and related things to the Asperger United newsletter. That is, unless someone else wants to or you don't want one done.

Okay, voting has now closed, and the winner is the National Autistic Society. I'll discuss the arrangements for this with the committee, and make an announcement in due course (probably to the end of next week).

I pinged an e-mail over about donating some stuff ( a bunch of unopened blind bags) and haven't had a reply, should I e-mail again or is it being pondered?

Perhaps send a follow up email... we get a LOT of emails. It may have gotten buried or eaten by the server.
