I saw the status feed on the homepage and I had this sudden instinct to continue the tradition

Didn't see hardly as much as i'd want to, wasn't able to go to the north because we ran out of time stuck in the markets at morgan and couldn't go up the mountains/inland because someone was afraid of the heights...

we just ended up visiting puerto de morgan and puerto rico.

oh it was pretty nice. we went the day after (today) for the market which i did not enjoy. i'm getting pretty tired of the fake ray bans/dre headphones/aloe vera trash on my holidays, there was nothing interesting.

Also I'd just like to let you know that the drivers there aren't the most... british in terms of their style. While they aren't as bad as the irish, they aren't great either.

Well, those sand dunes of Maspalomas are quite a sight. Anyway, I recommend Puerto de Mogan and Las Palmas. If you want a real gem, visit Teror.

First, I recommend visiting: Puerto de Mogan (I stayed there both times and it's really nice), Las Palmas, Teror.
And if you with the Thomas Cook bunch, then I recommend getting the "VIP tour". It takes you up the moutains of Gran Canaria into a lush, green area that's really surprising actually. Bring a coat though, it is very cold up there.

Tours are done by "Big" Gary every thursday and saturday, and are fun. If you're not with the Thomas Cook bunch, it's OK, they will still sell you the tour...

Also it depends on the airline. British Airways, Lufthansa and even Aer Lingus have excellent legroom on their A320 family aircraft. The issue is that budget airlines just take away a lot of seat pitch to fit people in. While that may not be that bad, it does mean that a seat has to be well designed to do so. Lufthansa have excellent legroom thanks to slimline seats.
