Actually I was simply reffering to his lack of a cutie mark :P He knows his special talent, and he even acts upon it and yet he doesn't have a cutie mark to show it, it's biologically impossible for a my Little Pony to not have a cutie mark when they know and act upon their special talent

Who said that? That's suppression of free will. The man wants to have a peaceful life, he's not going to be held down by something that says "Hey, I'm a traitor and the son of a ruthless tyrant. I'm also a good leader in war!"
A bit like Geralt, who has no cutie mark because he purposely stops becoming good at things. He's the most free man in history.
