Thanks :) you may regret suggesting that I ask you things, I am very new to forums.
You're most welcome and I will be more than happy to answer any of your queries and have been here for a while so should be able to answer most if not all of your questions.
I have very rookie questions for you.
1. What are conversations and how do they work, that inbox tab is staring at me and I don't understand it's purpose, is it for more direct and private transfer of messages?
2. This one is more about the general attitude of the site, what is the etiquette for starting threads? I would prefer not to step on ponies hooves so to speak.
1. A conversation is essentially a way to talk to a member privately. You can start one with a member you want by simply clicking on their profile and clicking on start a conversation. The inbox is there to keep a history of all the conversations you've currently been in.
2. When starting a thread it's always good to check if there are similar threads around and if so how recently they've been active. Usually if it's been a few weeks then starting a new thread is fine but you could always ask the person who started the old thread if you want to check.
Hope this helped.
Thanks, that helped a lot. Sorry about being so inexperienced about this stuff, I'd hate to do something out of turn and inconvenience someone.
You're most welcome and no need to apologise, just like helping people out.
