*pops up at the mention of making friends*
you declare you want to befriend more people so here I am, the fairy godmother of strange and unlikely friendships
Well, well who am I to complain
Dashie is my fave as well!
what about other stuff?
d'you like sci fi?
I love sci-fi. Ask me, and I will say how much I like it.
As for gaming, I like it, but I either find it hard to start or hard to stop...
ooooo! trekkie? star wars?
or maybe a lotr fan?
well the last ones not really sic fi but never mind
Yep, I'm a Trekkie. I'm not fussed about Star Wars. And LOTR is OK IMO.
I'm currently rewatching the next generation but TOS is probably my fav Star Trek generation
what about you?
I've seen all of Star Trek except the celestia awful Animated Series. While TOS is a classic, my favourite has shifted over to Enterprise.
oh? nice :) I like enterprise too I just couldn't abandon spock and data :P they were always my favourites when I was little so TOS and TNG rank higher for me.
Animated series? I've heard of it but never seen it. how awful? I'm sorely temped to watch it now just for a laugh
Let's just say that the Animated Series remains property of NBC instead of Paramount/CBS who bought it in the 70s and made Films and TNG in the 80s.
ah...maybe not then
I assume you've seen the TV series on that channel?
Seen any of DS9 or Voyager? DS9 was last on some years ago.
bit of voyager but I've been too busy for really get into it :(
i have no time...
Aww, that's a shame...
the problem we all face :)
Time, the enemy of every man (or woman, or non gender binary person)
her unending mission
to annoy everyone
make us late for stuff
and let our lives slip away...
whoops i just made Time a girl...
It's OK. Abstract ideas can be given genders.
The issue that I have with time is that it's never in the flow I want it to be.
I always find that I don't have enough time when I need it, and too much time when I don't need it.
Then there's the odd feeling when you're not doing much that time is just going and you're making noting of it. And that eventually makes me feel sad.
yeah...thats annoying but what can you do right?
i don't have a time lord i can call...
i do know what you mean tho...
for me the worst is summer break when i should be doing tonnes of stuff but i just sit online wasting my life
Well, I don't know about you, but I get 2 months of Summer holiday. While for the first 5 or so weeks it's fantastic, at the 6th week you start worrying about exam results and what you're going to have to do in September. Then in the last 2 or so weeks you're in a weird mixed feeling. You don't know what to do and it's too late to do anything...
wow thats a lot of summer holiday ...
i agree tho, im kinda getting to the worrying bout exam results and new term point :P
Then again, we have 2 day midterms and often none at all when you're all having fun...
What concerns me more is that I've gone through the last year of school and I either make it to uni or get stuck trying to find something to do...
hmmm...nah I'm sure you'll get into uni :)
if not you could go off and get an apprenticeship or something
"Or something" may be the only alternative if things don't go as planned.
But the less I think about it, the less I feel like something bad will happen from it.
just have fun and forget the stuff that comes after! thats what I'm doing this whole summer :P
I did last year. Let's just say that the stuff that came after came crashing on me.... That's why I'm not as calm as you are...
hmmm...why does everyone call me calm? i spend my whole time constantly freaking out about life and regretting every decision I've ever made :P
Well, your statement made you sound rather calm...
man I'm totally different in real life :P
I don't know... There's something that just seems more "chilled". Then again, I have no idea what decisions you're making at this point in life. From what I'm given to understand, the education system over there in GB is quite different to here in Northern Ireland. Same exams, but what age one does things, and term times etc.
yeah I've been taking "proper" exams since age 11...sucks...
D'you guys do your GCSE's age 16? or is it completely different? I have literally never realised it wasn't the same as us in london...*smacks head for foolishness*
We take ALL our GCSEs at 16, then our ASs at 17 and A2s at 18.
