    Sooooooo

I made a cake for my 23rd Birthday because I didn't want a crappy store bought one and my husband can't bake! So I made this cake:

Which looks like this on the inside:

    It's awesome.

The Flutterblob is a bit crap though. So apologies for that... her neck sorta slumped into itself >.>.... first time working with fondant, but i've learnt a lot from it for next time!!

At least it tastes awesome too.

Think i'm gonna get diabetes from all that rainbowness though.

It's unbelievable. I always loved marbleised baking methods.

Featherpaw you monster you're eating Rainbow Dash. I know she is far from best pony but that is a bit of an extreme method of elimination. :p

Saying that boy am I jealous, that looks delicious - nice job. Remind me to share birthdays with you more often. :D

The question is, though: who ate Fluttershy?

My money is on the husband, he has no alibi for the scene of the crime. :p

Nice cake you've got there. 23 and only a year older than I am. Oh god makes me now wonder what I should do on my 23rd birthday next year.

    Haha! Thanks everyone :D

The Flutterblob is still in one piece. The husband has threatened to eat her face, but he has resisted thus far. Seems the offer of cake has been a good alternative to the face eating... but we only have a few slices left!

No Rainbow ponies were harmed in the making of this cake.... that I know of anyway.... but they've gotta get those food colourings from somewhere right? o_O

Thanks :) I used this method but with the colours of the rainbow instead of zebra:

I have also made a proper rainbow cake in the past (one where each layer is a different colour, and you end up with 6 layers) but I actually found the tie-dye/zebra method to be a whole load easier and less time consuming!
