i still only have the first expansion though will most defiantly be looking into buying the full thing again including the new one once i have a few things sorted.
Curse you @Urban Meadows. I'm supposed to be starting to save to go on holiday.... I wasn't going to buy anymore games (or expansions) till after november and that's now gone out of the window. XD It's great to hear that you've still been working on the game and brought some new expansions, even if they may well be the last for this game. Thanks once again for giving us such a great game to enjoy and play with new friends and old.
Silvarrn yet again exposes my terrible spelling. Why don't Photoshop and InDesign have spellchecker?!?!? Thank you for your kind support. I really hope you enjoy! Thanks, Blaze! I'm glad I'm making people happy I hope you have a lovely holiday!
Hi, everyone! Thanks for your support over the years! I just finished Bronycon and we had a terrific time playing with fans of Buck: Legacy, as well as some new players! The newest expansion packs (Cold Snap, Playing with Fire & Loose Cannon) were very well received! A lot of fans requested that I produce even more expansion packs. Although the project supports many artists and entertains thousands of people, would fans feel that eleven expansions are just too many?
Not at all, but the introduction of legit 'Campains' would be grand. Or the concept used as a nice way to help people who are new to the game learn it faster. Especially for those who aren't able to meet up with others regularly 11 or 12 would probably be a good stopping point personally
I'm with @Silvarrn on this. 11 or 12 would be a good point to stop. Or maybe make one larger expansion that adds in some more to the campaigns and widens the world some more.
Been playing BAKA! and testing it out against myself ready to play it with friends next weekend.... It's looking like it's gonna be fun, though I'm not sure what to do interms of forfit suggestions. Do you have any @Urban Meadows.
When I challenged Urban (and won) we did an IOU on drinks. My preference would be some really mundane task like 'Baka has to order the food' or 'Baka is the designated driver' (that one assumes someone can drive through)
Here's some examples of what fans have used as forfeits: Buying rounds of drinks Running a lap around a field Downing a shot glass of ketchup Doing the dishes Getting stamped in the face with an ink stamp (water soluble ink)
Are there any last requests for cards in the upcoming expansions? I can add more to the shortlists. Shortlist of potential races: Alicorn Pony Slime Pony Flora Pony (plant-like ponies) Dragon Pony Changeling Gauss Pony Shortlist of potential classes: Potionmaster/chemist Cultist Paladin Apocathary Scavenger Theif
Stupid idea and probably wouldn't balance well, but what about Prestige Classes or Races that require you to pay in gold and/or medals? It'd seriously improve your overall power in the game but at the cost of knocking yourself back a few spaces? Alicorn gave me the idea there I'll admit. Personally I'd be up for Dragon Pony or Changeling, classes aren't my strong suit. p.s, you mean thief, not theif
It's a good idea - we tried adding prestige classes before. We even had all the art ready for them. But players found it was adding more rules and was making it all a bit too much. I was to allow adventurers to fight a level of dungeon beyond Advanced - Epic level. I also thought about prestige race to Alicorn, but neither Zebras, Gryphons, Deer, Sharkponies or Batponies can become Alicorns! Would I have to group them? Like A Shark-bat or Zeb-eer? haha Thanks for the input. That's an extra vote for Dragon-pone and Changeling (I even have Grammerly how am I still getting typos? haha!)
Uhhh Prestige Potions that transform you into a powerful race or something *shrugs* But that's fair, if rule wise it made things complex it might be worthwhile leaving it out! Also because the 'i before e' rule has been proven redundant, so Grammarly(Not Grammerly ) no longer enforces it which is why it doesn't detect the errors I believe! baka
Thanks for the forfit ideas... I think I got some hot sauce lying around somewhere.... Dragon pony and Changeling seem ok ideas for new races. Classes... depends how far you want to go really. Barbarian as a new more hardy melee (and rock) only fighter. Warlock as a bit more of a darker spellcasting class. Could possibly mean new spells could be needed. Monk could be an option Maybe a beast master could be fun... add in a few options as pets for them. (Eg timberwolf, bear, dog...... squirrel) Other options could some of the ones from D&D 5e homebrew... Some tweaking could make them useable (Races and Classes)
Even the longest nights do not last forever, a light will dawn on the horizon. It is the end of what once was and the beginning of something new. A Golden Age. Golden Age is Buck: Legacy 2nd Edition's final expansion pack and features an incredible 27 cards, including 2 new races and 2 exclusive classes. Thank you so much for your support over the last few years!
Got the expansion through last week, and was able to play last weekend. Golden Age is pretty good for the final expansion for the game. One question about one of the cards. The Teslonic Turbomalleus effect 'Once per combat phase: You may spend 2 Tesla to increase this cards combat strength by +1' Do you only get the boost till the end of the combat phase, or is a a permanent thing? Had a mate trying to argue that there wasn't really any end to the effect, and they were adamant that it kept building up and up each combat phase.
Thanks for your continued support! The effect is only supposed to last until the end of that combat phase, I'll have to make it clearer in the FAQ
