Well, 'tis the season. Christmas movies, no matter how tough life can get, always get me in a warm, cheerful mood and, most importantly, prepare me for the festive days ahead! Sure most of them are pretty cheesy in hindsight, but they have an undeniable charm that you can't brush off.

So, I must ask simply; what are your favorite christmas movies? Here are mine to get this thread going:

    The First Snow of Winter
    A Muppets Christmas Carol
Rankin and Bass Rudolph TV Special
    Home Alone 2
    Annabelle's Wish
Oh, and before I forget my greetings: Merry Christmas to all of you!

    • The Tailor of Gloucester animated version
    • Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas [I know it's terrible, but I had it on VHS when I was little and it was sort of a tradition to put it on while we were decorating the tree, so it has sentimental value.]
    • The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe
    • Hogfather, adapted from the Terry Pratchett book [although the book is far better]
    • Arthur Christmas

Is that one actually any good? I have never delved into previous generations of MLP myself so I could give it a shot. With caution, of course.

I would say it's a perfectly adorable Christmas movie, and one of the better introductions to G3, but you have to go in to it with the right mindset; you can't be too cynical and have to appreciate it for what it is to get anything out of it like most of the previous gens. YMMV. Quite a few people on here have said they enjoy it and for me for the last four years it's become a bit of a pre-Christmas tradition to watch - to get in to the Christmas spirit.

Hmmmm... can't say I've actually seen many from start to finish. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas, but I tend to just have them in the background, creating an atmosphere.

That said, I do like Fred Claus. A Very Minty Christmas is very sweet, as well, and I do enjoy it. Aside from that, I have vague memories of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas (or possibly Twice, not sure), and some adaptation of A Christmas Carol with Scrooge McDuck. I also feel like I should remember The Santa Clause, but nothing comes to mind...

That all appears as one line in the Recent Activity - I was momentarily very confused...
