I've not tried it with tea, but I'm of the opinion that microwaving changes the flavour of all foods. I hardly ever use my microwave as a result.

Still don't understand why the snow isn't accumulating.

I also microwave red wine for a few seconds to warm it slightly

my mum microwaves port when she's feeling under the weather

Conversations in German with my sister. it's a shame she doesn't speak it better, but still, all practice is good practice

Just had a look at the snow out back (while forcing Sox outside for his business) and oh my goggly goodness it's perfect. Scooped some up of what I could reach from the doorstep - it's literally just like talcum powder or play sand, it is advertisement-for-snow snow. So. Gorgeous.
Mother is quite the red wine aficionado, I will have to see just how much of a sacrilege she thinks that is...

I'd actually suggest that's it's a waste not to heat it slightly, the flavour is much better when it's above room temperature

I agree with you about the flavour but I could think of better ways of warming red wine... can't you put it on the radiator for a bit?

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure it's safe to put alcohol in a microwave...

@Princess Demandy-pants I found a picture that combines two of your interests

That's fine before the bottle's been opened but rather risky afterwards

Why wouldn't it be safe? It's only for 3-4 seconds

You could just hold the glass between your hands for a wee while to warm it, unless you have really cold hands.
This image raises... so many questions.

That's a good idea, my trotters are pretty cold tho

Preparing for a literal battle of the bands?
What's that a picture of, exactly?

~where the midnight sun and the hot wind blows

Snow update: it's still just the odd flurry here.
Warm wine? I've never heard of that being done...

I see the Guardian is reporting on that gun Google thing Sten was talking about last night.

I swear I'm seeing Irish everywhere now and I'm not even trying to look for it. Not that I'm complaining...
Huh, didn't know that. It's a class song right enough.
    Touché...

    I would like some snow.
For some reason Ireland's memes for the event seem to be bread related...
