Didn't there used to be a member here called Bread?
That somewhat rings a bell
... uhhh... I think! Without the A, perhaps? I feel like they associated with the weird circles.
I have this classic looping in my head...
Apparently I'm going to bed soon
Wonder when dinner'll be.
Booked a hotel for the trip to London in November.
Catching up on the new episode now.
To plagiarize Treebeard: "Ah! The book smell! It is better than much sleep!"
Also need to watch the new ep.
A distinct possibility...
My mother, my sister and I are getting decently through the extended LotR trilogy.
Good choice. Never did see the extended versions...
And now for the latest Ashens video.
I haven't seen any of them! I mean, like, currently 1.7 of them or so.
Pretty sure that was Legolas.
... Iiiii am a bad Tolkienite.
It's okay, it's 12:30, so you have an excuse...
They're worth watching, even after all these years.
That's not an excuse, I've thought it was Treebeard for years. Even though I reread the book last August!
Why would treebeard read books
Aren't they made of other trees
It's not really about books. The original quote is "Ah! the green smell!"
Just want to mention that books weren't made of trees until about two hundred or so years ago. More likely that books in The Lord of the Rings are made of a mixture of recycled fibres and/or animal skin.
Yeah, was going to mention that too. Middle-earth is very much Ye Olde Medieval Europe, parchment is probably the material of the moment. Except maybe in the Shire, they're weirdly technologically ahead of everybody else despite mostly being a bunch of fat happy-go-lucky change-fearers.
