Gather ye round, my little ponies - I need a show of hands. Gee-willikers, Mr. BRJ, it's been aaaaaaaaaages since you posted in the events section! It sure has, Pinkie. It sure has - and it's been a long time since good ole' UKofE has done anything for MCM, either. I'm proposing we do something to remedy that. Golly, Mr. BRJ, but the weekend is already so busy with cosplay and group meets and panels and autographs and... Quiet now, Pinkie, or it's back in the cage with you. If anyone would be interested in something of a revival - and I'm thinking specifically of any @the02 alumni who may be reading - drop me a comment below. Keep in mind, nothing is 100% planned out yet, but ideas are forming behind the scenes...
Ah a revival?! Where do I sign up?! In all seriousness I'd so so so wanna do this again! Oh yes I would! Yes I would.
You already know I'll be there. But I come baring grave news regarding the DLR: https://tfl.gov.uk/travel-information/improvements-and-projects/custom-house-dlr-station
Part of Czequestria management team will be there, the whole 2 (two) of us! First time for both of us to venture to such a massive comic con, biggest we've been to was BUCK/Galacon or Festival Fantazie so far!
I will be there once again.. In the process of working on a cosplay costume that I hope will be pretty original and unique from most other Cosplays. That's right it's Suicide Squad Joker!!!.... Not Really. But I'm remaining silent on it till the day
MCM May 2017 Get Hype! I'm also not going to pony up this year, but it'd be great to see the old London faces again.
Crap…there's so much to do. Get the ticket for myself, do a cosplay test to make sure everything's ready, prepare yourself for the guests that you want to meet and probably if I'm lucky head for the meet up outside on the grass.
Well I'm still going on the Saturday but bad news is I'm no longer gonna be cosplaying as the Fourth Doctor thanks to the weather conditions for Saturday. Never mind I'll save that cosplay for the October MCM. I'm a bit nervous but I am looking forward to going. Say is anyone going on the Underground to MCM and if so which line are you guys taking? Cuz I really need to know if I want to get to the east entrance because I'm a bit on the worried that I might not reach it so if anyone's going to Prince Regent station please let me know.
Prince Regent's the station I'd recommend. The only annoying part for me is that I'm staying at the Ibis... all the way at the West entrance. Also, MCM has made a press release regarding security. Please read through: Following the tragic events in Manchester last night, we would like to express our deepest sympathy with those affected and reassure anyone coming to MCM London Comic Con this weekend, that additional security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all visitors. MCM Expo Group is working closely with ExCeL London to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of everyone who comes to the venue is our top priority. Visitors attending this weekend (26-28 May) will be subject to increased security checks and therefore we anticipate longer queue times than normal. Please allow extra time to travel to the venue and also accessing the event. For those attending in Cosplay, we ask that you consider your outfit while travelling to and from ExCeL London and advise you to check the Cosplay rules: http://www.mcmcomiccon.com/london/attractions/totally-cosplay/#rules. Any questions, please email [email protected]. We also advise cosplayers where replica weapons are part of their costume to ensure they conform to the rules and relevant laws, security will be enforcing these to ensure visitor safety. Our thoughts go out to the families and friends of the victims and the city of Manchester.
Circle/District to Monument, walk to Bank, DLR from there? Costume almost all set - just a couple of tiny bits left.
