It's just a clanger on Tiny Pop's part I'm sure, Pop Max wouldn't be showing it if it was banned on TP, especially at 10 o'clock in the morning.

Just to say you will need to retune on the 15th March to keep watching Tiny Pop.

If you don't have a local TC channel on your free view box you might not be able to watch it again after the retune!

I don't know what "TC" stands for, but I'm guessing it's the same as the city-based "Local Freeview" as mentioned on the Tiny Pop site? If so, I'm guessing people in more rural parts of the country are basically stuffed. :(

Sorry! Stupid autocorrect! It meant TV!

Totally! I'm in a town near Bristol and I can't get the local channels on my freeview box. I'll have to go back to my Sky + box to watch it.

Is it not those local TV Channels that bigger cities tend to have? (the ones that the government insisted being set up if I remember rightly, even though there was no real demand and previous attempts like channel M folded) I imagine that POP's channels piggyback of the signal (hence their broadcast quality being not the best).

This isn't what you would call a big city and we have one, supposedly it's for the county as a whole. Actually, the news studio is 2 doors along from our office.

Well, although I live in Worcestershire, my transmitter is Sutton Coldfield, so I might end up being all right. (I can get Made in Birmingham, formerly Big Centre TV.) But people a bit further from cities will presumably lose Tiny Pop from their channel lists altogether. Disappointing move, to say the least.

I imagine, areas further out to the coast like Coastal Wales, Devon, Cornwall on Northern Scotland be worse off.
It probably cheaper for them to do it this way.

    *random whoop for my hometown*

That is disappointing for rural folks.

(I know the Studio Director of MiB, incidentally.)

I live in a town right in the centre of the Midlands and I could't get any of those 'local' TV channels back when I was on Freeview.

Thankfully now I'm living at a place with a dish so I can get Freesat but it would be very annoying if I wasn't.

E: Supposedly it's to make room for Quest Red which launches the same day.

Quest Red is described (on Sky's page) as "programmes genres spanning big personalities, extraordinary worlds, gritty reality, thought-provoking medical, investigative documentaries and real crime."

In other words, pretty much identical to dozens of other channels. So not a good swap at all in my book.

Quest Red is an attempt to make a "female" version of Quest. They just can't call it Quest Pink because of the obvious PC backlash that would follow so are going with the same stance as Donut from Red vs Blue...

What odds we can convince them that MLP qualifies under the "female" and "extraordinary worlds" banners? :p

Anyway, I'll report back once the retuning has happened and say whether I can still pick up Tiny Pop.

Is season 7 airing on Tiny Pop and/or Pop? And if so when? I tried Googling but it didn't help

I'm not sure... they seem to be showing S2 and S5 at the moment. The best way to predict it is usually to monitor TV schedules but I'm sure they will eventually.

S7 just premiered in the US. But nothing's come up about the UK broadcast.

So yesterday, there must've been a scheduling error or TV Guide glitch for POP!
The film that ran at 17:00 (5pm) was listed to be Equestria Girls: Friendship Games, but instead they showed Zathura: A Space Adventure. And even the Monster High film that followed was completely different to the one on the guide.
