My Little Pony: FiM Magazine.

I wonder what the "surprise gifts" will be. I'm not actually a huge fan of that approach, since I usually decide whether to buy the mag at all based on what the cover gifts are!

 

Indeed -- that's the exact same thing @Osakadragon linked to two comments earlier.

I suspect the surprise gifts will just be recycled items from earlier issues, as I think happened at Christmas. They're surely not going to give away never-before-seen figures in that fashion, for example. As such, I'm not sure whether I'll bother buying them. The Equestrian newspapers sound fun, but (for me) probably not £4-5 fun.

Also on that MLP Merch link: issue 100 of the magazine will be out later this year! I wonder if there'll be anything special given away then?

 

They've had an alicorn Twilight figure before -- do you know whether this one is different?

 

Thanks. So fits in with the recent trend of tweaking existing models (Rarity in sunglasses, Pinkie with clown nose). No real objection, but I'd prefer some genuinely new characters. (Sweetie Belle!)

Also, for those who worry about things, be careful as there's a spoiler in the magazine for a character from later in S8! I won't say more here, but it's on EqD and I'll post the details on the news'n'spoilers thread.

And thanks for the pics! I'm not sure about this one... I have every magazine covermount pony since the very first one (plain Pinkie) but I'm honestly not sure I want to support them if they're just going to make tiny additions. I might just start buying only the mags with new ponies, like Sugar Belle the other month.
