I am excited to see this again. I wonder if Craig Charles will host it again.

Dara O Briain? Interesting choice, though not too farfetched. Everything else though is awesome to see. That logo is so good.

I think Dara O Briain's a good choice personally. Although I guess the trailer confirms they're bringing back house robots, which I didn't want but never mind.

Nice to see Jonathan Pierce is coming back, although I do wonder why they didn't just bring Craig Charles back too, especially since he expressed some interest in returning. Has he got other commitments getting in the way or did the BBC decide to go with a new face?

I'm a fan of Dara O Briain though, so it'll be interesting to see how he takes this role. I find it hard to picture him hyping up robot battles though, but I guess we'll see just what he can do.

The most logical conclusion I can think of off the top of my head is that he may be busy doing the new Red Dwarf episodes, since episodes of both Seasons 11 and 12 are currently in production. I'm not sure if he's still in Coronation Street, but that also may be a factor.

Not that I think anyone can do it better, because he put a lot of energy into it. I love Dara O Briain, but he's got some big shoes to fill.

I don't particularly like Dara O'Briain. The guy's a stand up comedian, not a broadcaster, and it seems like the BBC is trying to make him one. I mean the Stargazing prgramme is bad enough with Brian Cox on it, but the duo...
I'll give it a look when it's on TV, but TBH, I am skeptical since BBC budget cuts might not let the show be what it originally is...

Huh, an actual robot called Thor. I just remember it from the video game as a competition winner's virtual robot. The real version looks like it packs a punch too. :)

People on another forum I'm on were speculating that this might air in Top Gear's slot once that has finished?

I'm ok with that, the new Top Gear isn't the same as it used to be.

I guess they had trouble fitting in a flamethrower for the new series. That or they didn't have the time or budget to remake all of the classic House Robots. I do hope Sgt. Bash comes back at some point.

Still, I am looking forward to this new series. If it does go in Top Gear's slot once that's finished I'll finally have something good to watch on a Sunday!

Flamethrowers have always been pretty useless though, unless somebody actually built their robot out of felt.
