    Upcoming meet: Wednesday 30th July
    Time: 5.00pm
    Place:
    Information:
Future meets: Wednesday 30th July, 5.00pm, pub meet (18+)
See the rules for these meets here.

    Notices:
    • If you are at your first meet with us, please ask for a badge! They're free to everyone!
    • If you'll be arriving late or otherwise need some way of contacting us, I am happy to give you my mobile phone number by personal message.
    • If you have Skype, give me your Skype name and I'll add you to our official Skype group! (18+ only due to the nature of the chat)
    • From 28th June I will be back at home, so meets will be less frequent and probably run by Sean (Azure Arcadia).
    Website: www.disallowedsite.co.uk
Feedback Thread: http://ukofequestria.co.uk/threads/north-east-bronies-feedback-thread.9250/ (for pictures of past meets and your comments)

Q: Is there an age limit?
A: No. There is no upper or lower age limit on the meet-ups.
If you are under-13, you need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the meet.
If you are 13-17, you are welcome to come to the pub with us for something to eat, but you may have to leave at 6-9pm as per their policy. We usually avoid pubs that ask for ID on the door in favour of somewhere quieter (the Five Swans often allows under-18s to stay until 8-9pm).
If you are over-18, you can stay until the end, but please remember to bring ID. If you don't have ID, you will probably be asked to leave at 8-9.
However, the Wednesday evening meets are strictly over-18 only, so you will not be able to join us unless you are over 18 and have valid ID.

Q: Do the meets cost money?
    A: There is no 'entrance fee' for the meet, it's free to join in. There will usually be minor costs, depending on the meet. Usually these are;
    - Transport to Newcastle
    - Any pony merch you want to buy
    - If we're having a picnic, an optional donation of food/drinks.
    - A small cost to pay for the cinema if we go there for an episode; typically £2-3.
    - If you're hungry, any money spent on food.
    - Alcohol, if desired.
It's certainly possible to go to a meet and spend less than £10.

Q: Where abouts in Newcastle Central Station does everyone meet?
A: Usually just outside Burger King, which is next to the main pedestrian entrance to the station, opposite the ticket barriers. When there's a meet there will usually be a few bronies in the area, so just say hello.

Q: What if I can't find everyone when I arrive?
A: It's usually quite easy to spot a group of bronies if you're in the right place. If you're worried you'll miss us, it's best if you phone or text the organiser to say where you are, and we'll usually come and find you or direct you to the right place.
This also applies if you get lost during a meet.
However, recently we've tended to find that out pony merch is not always as obvious as it could be, so if you suspect it's us, just say hello.

Q: What normally happens during a meet?
A: A 'typical' weekly meet would involve browsing some of Newcastle's shops like Forbidden Planet/Travelling Man for pony merchandise or comics, then depending on the weather, a trip to the park or the pub for food.
There will be variations to this, for example when the episodes are broadcast, so keep an eye on the meet descriptions.

Q: Where do meet-ups usually take place?
A: Our weekly meets are in Newcastle. We have in the past held meets in Durham, Sunderland and Teesside, and plan to add more places when we can. There are also opportunities to travel further afield and mix with other groups, for example in Edinburgh or Leeds.

Q: I went to a meet and I really enjoyed it/I hated it and won't ever come back. What should I do?
A: If you loved it, keep an eye on our website or this thread for the next meet. It'd be great if we saw you again.
If you hated it, please give us some feedback. We can't improve if nobody tells us what is wrong. You can do so by emailing me, posting in our feedback thread (link is in this post) or my sending me a private message on the forums. Everything you tell us will help, so don't feel like you can't say anything.

Because I'm in an office job, I'd prefer Friday/Saturday meets, but it was still fairly good fun to drop in late.

Is it possible for people to book a Saturday off work, for sometime in April? - this is for the Bristol vs North East thing in Manchester.

I'm available any Wednesday or Saturday for meets so I'm very flexible. Got nothing booked for April so I should be able to attend the Bristol battle meet. ^^ Actually I was thinking I can probably offer lifts as I've got a car. So if some people don't want to take the train we can organise some things nearer the time I guess.

I can only do April by travelling up with the Bristol lot, but it should otherwise be fine.

EDIT UPDATE: Seems like the date is probably set for Sat 4th May. We MAY be able to negotiate, but it'll definitely be a weekend. Is anyone totally unable to do that date?

Me and Lupan can only do saturdays, sundays, mondays and tuesdays... unless we arrive late since finishing time is around 5pm.

Okay so, because of popular demand, there will be a meet-up Saturday 2nd March i.e. this coming Saturday somewhere in Newcastle. We'll meet at the station, but since this is last-minute it's not going to be a formal meet. More of a 'turn up and we'll see who's there'.
Probable schedule will be coffee/food/pub, unless anyone has any better ideas.
If you are definitely coming, please make sure I know, and tell anyone who doesn't use the forums that it's happening.
We'll meet at the same time as last time (between 2.00 and 2.30) in the same place (entrance to Newcastle Central station).

Next meet-up after this will be Wednesday 14th March, so if anyone who can do the website is able to, please update with details.

As always, if you want my mobile number, send me a message, then I'll try and keep track of everyone wanting to come.

Now I've typed all this up, nobody will want to go.

I won't be coming, which sucks, but helping a friend move house is probably a little more important.

Hmm, well I can't come this Saturday but the next one I'll probably come along to. ^^

Oh but here's some interesting info for you peeps meeting up on Saturday. I was in Newcastle today with a couple of friends and I happened to pop into Travelling Man to check on their pony stock...um HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF CELESTIA did I hit the jackpot! I found four of the pony blind bag sets! You know the ones that sell on Ebay for like £15+ ....for £6.50 EACH! MUWAHAHAHAHA! Dunno how much stock they have but seriously if you have the cash get down there and get them. I got the spa set, cloudsdale, class of cutie and famous friends (check the photos below). Seriously I've not even sen these for sale in the shops nevermind at this ridiculous price! GO NOW! BUY PONY! *falls over twitching in blind bag heaven*
