Discussion OOC - Adventures of The Phoenix

I want to get back to roleplaying in the worst way, I'm thinking about taking the plunge and participating in this thread. However, with the setting being what it is, it makes integrating any of my OCs into the story very difficult. Rose is my most best bet, but she'd be an old mare in the time the RP takes place, or I could create another character entirely.

 

Dude, Ani should technically be 71 years old, I think we're just going with the idea that for this RP, and only this RP, ponies don't age. Use Rose, ignore the age problem, and just think of it like The Simpsons, a show which has a 27 year old baby.

 

If I use Rose, I'd be remiss if I didn't age her somewhat. Her being an older, wiser, more knowledgeable, Royal Guard vet would be an interesting dynamic. She'd probably be in her early/mid 40s.

 

I'm all for it, but it's not my call.

Also the Phoenix has left the dock, so boarding may be problematic, unless Rose is a pegasus, or she comes in on one of the other vessels sent to assist our take-off. I would say she could be a stowaway, but Ani is the stowaway.

so who's due for next post? I don't want Ani to wake up for a bit, after all, she just took the butt of a recoiling cannon to the chest, so it won't be me.

Anyway, a griffon frigate is now going down, it is unlikely that the griffons will send another lancer squadron at us right now, as they don't realise that Ani can't do such an attack again (not until she makes some more goo). I presume the (destoyed) escort ship won't be in the air much longer, so are we finally going to head to open skies?

 

I want to wait until Squishy posts again, assuming my post didn't throw him off too terribly much.

Has Comet even posted since the first page?

Also, The Phoenix doesn't seem to have a prefix that designates class. Here in America, we use USS for all Naval ships, and USNS for all civilian manned military ships. The UK seems to have a lot more complex system than that.
