Well I started watching Critical Role early last year, I would catch up on it as I did washing up or other chores around the house. I think I must have caught up about the same time as you (end of the Chroma Conclave arc). The problem with the games I'm in is that knowing the rules isn't that much of a help compared to other games as our DM has his own rule sets and rulings. For example, Druids can't use metal weapons and armour normally, in our game if its a magical object or contains the Druidic focus then using a metal object is fine. Mind you it works in a few different ways, my rogue has two archetypes from within the same class because of the rule bending. I might even start DMing myself soon, I'm currently setting up a Shadowrun-esq world that will run on the Open Legend ruleset. We'd like that man, we've moved twice since you were last over here lol. No spare room because that's the nursery and right now I'd be very surprised to receive any overnight guests... unless you like being woken at 5am because the babies are hungry.
quite the coincidence eh? well as long as you know the basics it's all good, then it's just remembering the game specific rulings. You know my first game was me DMing, had a pretty good storyling and such set up but my party were a rag tag bunch of friends i dragged into it, so it ended up just being a mess of people not turning up so i ended it, shame really. You'd make an amazing DM though. I hope your voices are good ;P Nah, i'd be happy in the rain as long as i'm with friends, plus i rarely get more than 6 hours sleep anyways
i'm just waiting for sharpy to post so i can post. I prefer to post at once with all characters, unless it's a large intro post and what not.
Sorry its been so long since I've posted, been bedridden for the past 5 days from the flu, but I'm just starting to recover. -_- On a lighter note, for the budding romance that's going on: Spoiler
I don’t mean to sound like a nag, but I really wish to get writing again soon. I'm hitting a really rough spot in my life right now, and writing is very therapeutic for me. (as bad at it as I might be)
Welcome to the writing-to-escape club, newbie it has been forever since a post though... and i can't really think of anything to post that's not random worthless filler, before sharpy posts.
No, glandular fever is worse, gives you bad flu-like symptoms for about a month, so i'm still pretty much bedbound. And the exhaustion and aching can last for months after that.
