Hey, so it looks like I have time to go to the Xmas Market meet in Leeds. I don't really do anything Brony these days but it'll be nice to see y'all awesome guys again. and let's not forget the traditional spread of windigoes and angry pegasi. Count me in.

Nothing has been decided yet, as far as I know, but I'm going to put December 9th out there for consideration - works best for both myself and Lauren.

Think the market runs until the 17th or thereabouts so we could easily have A.N.Other meet if folks have the stomach for it.

I'll start putting the plan together for the Christmas Market meet soon!

    9th December should be perfect.

Gawd, its been a while since I posted here - been too wrapped up in myself looking for a new job having been made redundant at the end of December.

    Anyway.

I'm going to propose a meetup in York on Sunday, April 8th ...

    Why?

Because City Screen are showing a series of Studio Ghibli movies and the series ends on the 8th with "Howl's Moving Castle", which I've yet to see on the big screen - I need to find out what the times are, and whether prebooking is advised (I suspect it might be, but I'll check regardless) and whether or not there are discounts for group booking (if you're a student, bring appropriate ID as you may well get discounted entry anyway)

Depending on the timings, after the movie there will likely be food and beverages, not necessarily in that order - York has branch of Five Guys now, or if people fancy it we can get the bus up to Monks Cross and go to Taco Bell for .... quesidillas.
There's also the option to sample the ... unique ... atmosphere of York's Brewdog. Ever wondered what it might be like to drink beer in Fallout 4? Well now's your chance ...

UPDATE: more details here ... screening is at midday. The film runs for 119 minutes so there's tons of time to wander round town etc. afterwards.

Sounds like a good idea! It’s a week after JFTW so I’ll see if I’m up for it, but it will be good to to see y’all again.

Me, Andrew and Brad should be up for this!

    Five Guys sounds tempting

I'm going to the Job Fair in town tomorrow (yay!) so I'll probably wander over to City Screen and find out whether pre-booking is advised and if they offer a group discount - I have a vague recollection that they might, but it may be for groups of 10 or more - assuming Alex can make it then we're up to 6 already.

    Watch this space ...

I think that's where we'll end up unless we have someone with a peanut allergy with us - I've got a hankering for some cajun fries.

This meet seems very good providing I can afford transport. But I need to know the time , meeting place etc .

Film showing starts at midday - meeting place will likely be the station concourse (underneath the signal) around 11ish.

    Right here

My advice is that if you're planning to travel to York by car, forget it - parking is stupidly expensive.

I think you should do what's easier for me.
    Via sled dogs.
