Summer meet announced for August 11th in Leeds! https://ukofequestria.co.uk/threads/leeds-summer-meet-11th-august-2018.19378/
It would appear that the National Video Game Museum has completed it's move from Nottingham to Sheffield (we'd planned to go during PonyCon last year, but we found out the hard way that it had moved ...). I don't know Sheffield that well, but it looks like the venue is a fairly short walk from the railway station. Which is nice. With this in mind, plans are afoot for a trip there towards the end of February which, coincidentally, happens to be when my birthday occurs - there will be a trip to the pub, obviously (I've not been to Sheffield Brewdog, so it needs ticking off the list) and there may be messing around on trams for those so inclined. Any takers?
If I can, I’d love to join in. Unfortunately I’m already busy on the last weekend in February (23rd & 24th), which could scupper things.
For various reasons which may or may not be related to me having to spend a small fortune having my fence repaired, this will likely be taking place early March now - date TBD, but I'm open to suggestions. A tentative plan would be to meet at Sheffield station around midday - Strikes and whatnot permitting, I'm planning to get the 10am Northern service from York which goes via Pontefract because it's far more interesting than the more usual route.
Sorry to hear about your fence. Early March looks good for me (I’m free the first couple of weekends), so will keep an eye on this. I don’t know Sheffield all that well, so am fairly easy what we do.
*Update* I’m now booked up with something else for the first weekend of March, so can only make it if it’s the one after.
