i'm just wondering. can we roleplay in multiple topics running at the same time with the same character?

mainly because it would be kinda awkward to be in ponyville in one rp and cloudsdale in the othe.
and have one version of your character travel to the other town.

You can do multiple topics.. Don't think of it as you being in multiple places at the same time.. Instead think of it as you are in different locations are different times, like Ponyville one day/week and Cloudsdale the next for example.

It's quite possible, you can just assume that the two separate events aren't occurring simultaneously. Heck you could even use it to your benefit and use experiences/knowledge your character(s) gained in one RP in another, within reason. There is, of course, the problem of establishing some chronology, such as when characters first meet and how well they'd know each other at the time different RPs occur, but that's something that'll be specific to each character.

If yourself and another roleplayer agree to then you could both go into a new topic knowing each other beforehand. But please don't just go in assuming its ok as it could make things awkward for everyone.

Paradoxes! That's how I like to threat it, until one of the Roleplay's come to a conclusion the knowledge gained in that time is unknown to you till the session has come to an end.
It can be confusing when there's a recurring character...
