now this takes me way back xD
For some reason I had the urge to watch the opening of Rosie And Jim on youtube and I don't remember them being so....Creppy. Why the hell wasn't I terrified of this when I was a kid?
Because they're ragdolls ... and they have a duck bolted on the boat's hull ...
Ah... the Nostalgia thread! Where we can talk about classic old stuff! Me and my sister used to watch 90's anime like Pokémon, Dragon Ball Z, Digimon and Sailor Moon! "Pokeball, GO!" "Kamehame Ha!" "Moon Prism Power" Ah memories! If you nostalgic anime fans would like to see Sailor Moon back in the UK, Like this Facebook page!
I've been singing this this morning for no apparent reason.. Reminds me of them discos
Yes, agreed. And Ragdoll Productions, who made it, are now owned by DHX.
Dang! They're sooooo lucky to own such crucial parts of our childhood nowadays! First, the best ponies in the world and now this! Whoa!
There you go
Why did I have to remember this at this time . I am now too scared to sleep!
I've started to revisit this show:
I remember so little about this show, according to Wikipedia, Lee Tockar voices one of the main characters. It's pretty much a Ninja Turtles/Biker Mice clone with sharks.
To keep up with the sea creature theme:
This is extreme nostalgia for me
This thing right here.
Phillip Schofield and Gordon the Gopher doing a duet of this in the Broom Cupboard on Children's BBC. One of the all-time great pieces of television! The good bit starts at about 55 seconds in:
That takes me right back! I remember that for some reason at the time I thought those blue alien kids (or whatever they were...) were really cool...
This one was the primary cause of my reluctance to do anything or go anywhere on Saturday mornings for quite a while when I was but a nymph...
I had totally forgotten about this, but found it on a YT safari tonight.
It still had the same effect it had when I saw it all those years ago.
We used to have 'Watch With Mother' recorded on VHS tapes that we would watch when we were younger. My brother started singing this and it just reminded me of it.
In '01, the year of Shrek and Atlantis, I really felt a strong desire to see Help I'm a fish, not sure why anymore. Fun fact, that's Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul as the Jellyfish kid. Also Alan Rickman Sings!
The next year we had what is probably Rupert Grint's best role in Thunderpants, another film that strangely captivated me.
Remember Disney Readalongs? Everyone I know had at least one of these audio cassette and book sets. That was how I knew the story of the Rescuers before I saw the film. I also now recall one about Superted, and then there was that great one about Captain Birdseye that I rediscovered recently.
Then there was the Singalongs. I only had the Bear Necessaties one at home but I also saw the twelve days of Christmas. So cheesy but good stuff.
Finally, let's talk about the Care Bears. I have always linked them with MLP but I knew more about the bears. I will still watch the first 2 films but I do think the second one is better quality.
