Thought I'd dig up an ol' show of mine and how ironic that this episode pretty much reflects what I like nowadays.

Lets take a trip back to 1984 and easily one of my favourite films ever.

Dear lord how much I love the glorious HAM surrounded in a fuzzy layer of dystopian steamfuture.
And that ^^ intro still for the media is Ken McMillan as probably the best character ever - Baron Harkonnen. A better source of disturbed hamminess you will not find.

The name of this thread always reminds me of this.

Saw my dad packing ol' stuff away and I saw the VHS cassette tapes I used to watch a lot when I was younger: both the Toy Story movies, Sword in the Stone, Shrek, Rugarts, The Little Mermaid, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone the list just goes on for that collection.

VHS, the format where we can skip the ads and the copyright signs a lot easier then DVDs.

All the different labels had their own copyright notices. Even my sisters knew that the Thames Video one was on for much longer than usual.

Let's talk about film credits. I love to keep the film going to the end but it is only garunteed if I'm by myself watching a DVD. If you are watching in a group or family at home, people tend to stop the film as soon as the credits roll. In the cinema, the house lights go on and a light can shine on the screen, mentally pushing its audience out, and the curtain can close 6 seconds before it ends. I like to know if there was someone I knew in the cast or what that song was, and especially to listen to the music, but this is unusual for the avarage consumer, especially if they are very young.

Just rip the DVD and play the video file off a PC. Same with Blu-ray.

Tom and jerry. I would never miss them on Cartoon Network even though they were at least 50 years old when I saw them and I was watching it for the 100th time.

Ooo, is the bear related to the king of the road hedgehogs? Cannot have a jogger without road safety.

The bear who appeared with Lizzie Webb. See here, including a rather jazzed-up version of the bear's theme song:

Goodness, I remember those - first place I heard of that "King of the Road" song, now I can never hear the tune without thinking of those hedgehogs.

God those ads used to be on all the time in the 2000s whenever I was watching CITV. I swear when I was in school we had posters for those adverts on the walls in a few of the classrooms.

Bears that teach kids about fitness? Man I must be travelling about in the TARDIS or something because I'm clearly new to the 80s...stuff I suppose.
