He growls, too.
Yeah that's NOT something you'd want to have a character who's trying to teach kids the importance of exercise when the bear growls.
Hahahahaha that made me laugh!! I was thinking the exact same thing!!!
The following is four minutes from my childhood circa 1997.
Been watching a lot of Courage The Cowardly Dog lately. That show is a lot better than I remembered it being
The creators of that show were on so many drugs... So many
And the funny thing is, that they were able to get with something horrible as domestic abuse in one episode.
Oh god yeah... Not that domestic abuse is funny but... They got away with a ton of stuff back then haha
The creators were very....naughty
And they portrayed that subject seriously and this was on a kids cartoon for god sakes. There's not that many cartoons that can get away with domestic abuse and it's just incredible.
Of course, if they were doing drugs, it would have been BEFORE the series was made, as they couldn't make the cartoons if they were on drugs at the same time. (Source: Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, Series 5 Episode 5).
The 90s were stupid and terrible and amazing.
WHATA YA LOIKE!
Good song xD, pure 90s European pop when they didn't take things to seriously.
They defiantly don't make music videos or pop songs like that anymore.
Downloading films is stealing, if you do it you WILL face the consequences!
Slightly different one - so much nostalgia for me here in one video:
First the end of a Knightmare episode (my favourite TV show as a child)
Then old CITV continuity
Then some old adverts (including one for Super Nintendo), all of which I remember
Then it ends with a Thames-LWT handover (which may not mean anything anything to you depending on location, but two companies running one channel in a region, fighting over airspace, was very much a thing)
And what feels really weird is that, given Knightmare was on, I was almost definitely watching this as it was broadcast.
Wow, I'm just a few days shy of my 29th birthday and I'm discovering some kids songs I didn't know. If you don't know who the Singing Kettle were, don't worry, I didn't either really, or recognise their awesomeness until today. Sadly they disbanded last year.
Reminds me that 1992 (the year I turned 5) was probably when I became aware of pop culture. Remember those adverts clearly.
I remember seeing them live in about 1991 on a primary school theatre visit. They were pretty much entertainment royalty in Scotland. For some reason this got me speculating on the possibility of a Singing Kettle/Proclaimers double bill (if The Kettle reformed). In fact, I know people who'd pay a lot of money to see it!
