I went just for today (Saturday), but now I wish I had planned for the entire weekend.

I really wasnt quite sure what to expect at first, but it was a very fun day and I really liked the atmosphere of the convention. It was great to see friends in person again, and of course I bought some merch. :p

But yeah, will definitely consider coming next year if I can. :)

I enjoyed today, but my wallet didn't. But it was worth it! :D

I really enjoyed today. Thanks to everyone who helped to make my first con experience so brilliant.
I really loved the atmosphere of the con and am sad that I was only able to come for the one day.
I look forward to future cons and will be keeping an eye out for this one when it rolls round again!

And I did! :) Back home now, and tbh I'm exhausted. I don't think I could have managed tonight's and Sunday's stuff too, so I was right to curtail my con.

That said, what I did experience was superb. There were a few small problems, but a lot of large positives! In particular, the atmosphere was superb. It was absolutely brilliant having the full range of MLP fans all gathered in one place. The Rainbooms, though I didn't hear that much of them, were very entertaining -- I'm always up for a live rendition of "Babs Seed"! The stallholders were without exception friendly and helpful despite being extremely busy. The range of merch to buy was fantastic. There were some exceptionally good cosplays. The panel I attended ("G1 for Bronies, G4 for Oldies") was illuminating. And the goodie bag was amazing for £20 -- so glad I plumped for that!

Depending on where it's held, I'd love to return to UK PonyCon next year, hopefully with my health at full strength. Thank you to everyone on the organising team -- I hope you're proud of your efforts, because you certainly should be. :)

One complaint, I was under the impression the After Party was supposed to start at 8pm and I needed to leave around 9:30pm.

When it got to 8:45 and it still hadn't started I lost patience and left. The rest of the day was good though, apart from the problem with not enough space for the cosplay competition in front of the vendor stalls.

Had a great time - fun atmosphere and brilliant to meet new pony people and see friends. I'll almost certainly be back next year (unless location is somewhere really out of the way!). Came back last night to find that my internet had stopped working (erm, it's obviously back now) and that I've picked up some kind of bug and lost my voice. It did allow me to (finally) use the following pun this morning though, so it was worth it:

Housemate: How are you after yesterday?
    Me: I'm a little hoarse.

Well. I've finally had a chance to post something, now that I've returned from work today (Good lord, that was a change in mood for me between Saturday and Sunday :p). Had a terrific time with everyone and the event itself and whatever insanity it was that transpired in the pub afterwards. ;)

Certainly looking forward to the chance to do it all again in the future! :D

I just wish I had managed to take the Sunday off!

Eep, I hope that wasn't my fault! I'm pretty sure I wasn't infectious, though, given past experience of this sort of malady.

On a cheerier note, something else I loved about this con. For most of us in the brony part of the fandom, we barely mix with families and collectors. That's often deliberate, eg to avoid bronies being perceived as crashing children's events. And BUCK was an all-ages convention, ironically even more of one than UK PonyCon, yet very few kids attended. So this weekend was a very rare opportunity for we bronies to mingle on equal terms with families and long-time collectors, and I think that made a big contribution to the really nice atmosphere. I guess the word I'd use would be "inclusive". :)

Oh, and also a big yay to Jem, who did the enjoyable "G1 for Bronies, G4 for Oldies" panel, for expertly dealing with a discussion about intellectual property in the fandom that was starting to become a rather overlong and specialised conversation between a couple of people that didn't really involve the rest of us!

Thank you all for this wonderful weekend! Especially thank you, organizers, for making this weekend possible!

I just wish I hadn't had so hard time understanding some people, still being used to American English pronunciation, but oh well, I have just recently arrived to UK, so I have plenty of time to adapt. :D

Had a Brilliant time at Ponycon.
It was much more relaxed than BUCK. I like the atmosphere. Kind of like distant families meeting in a big Family reunion

Will write more later. But at the moment look at all this loot!

on a serious note, it was awesome to meet you all! I didn't catch everyone's name, but I'm the blue haired stall holder :) I hope to see you all at the next ponycon :)

You're off the hook! Had a bit of a sore throat for days so it was just waiting to manifest itself!

Not a huge haul in my case, and most of what I did get was from the (excellent!) goodie bag, but for the sake of completeness:

Oh, and also for the sake of completeness: I was the generally slightly vague-and-confused (only partly because of encroaching illness!) guy with glasses and a brown shoulder bag, wearing a dark green shirt with a stylised "Tribal Fluttershy" design. :)

I should have taken a picture of my haul as well, but I've already placed my acquisitions among my other ponies. Perhaps it's time for another post in the "Let's see your collection" thread.

One of my shelves is now completely and totally filled with Twilights. :p

Ooh, loving the sour apple martini, I've used that colour in loads of customs! What are you planning to make with it? :)

For those who are having after-con-depression/hangover. Listen to one of these:

For people who prefer fast remixes:

For people who prefer beautiful orchestras:

And if everything else fails, just listen to the classic :D
