I'm thinking particularly of go-to 'weepy' things that you know will get you going if you watch them.

Reason I came up with the thread is I was just going about my business, happy as ever, when I suddenly came across this

which sent me teetering on the edge of tears, so I decided to indulge with a fairly reliable weepy

and may move on to the hardcore (very cliche) weepy :p which is this

(the movie not just the song)

The weepy theme for me is self-destruction, particularly as regards relationships.

Do you have go-to weepy film/songs? What is their theme?

Edit Oh gawd I forgot the question mark, my credibility is ruined, RUINED! :D

This. From watching it at the cinema when it released all the way up to being 27. Even just the music alone makes me cry!!

Also, both Requiem for a Dream and the Fountain.

And Despicable Me 1&2, although these two are tears of laughter!!

This... When that background music kicks in, I'm already in tears from the sadness of it.

Also this. All I can do is picture the scene this is played in.

I don't tend to cry when watching films and such, but the ending of Toy Story 3 really moved me.

Bridge to Terabithia. Most of it is incredibly odd but the last third NEVER FAILS to reduce me to a blubbering mess of tears.

The ending of Moulin Rouge gets me blubbing everytime, and i'm not usually a cryer when it comes to movies.

I apologise if anyone thinks I'm cheating with this one but the Ellie and Carl's relationship scene and music from Pixar's Up is still one of my personal favourites. The track that plays in the background is a beautiful contrast to development of their relationship from the beginning to the end. :(

I know this is an odd choice but this music is so beautiful and makes me feel so small.

    EDIT:
Also the ending to "Drive" It is such an amazing film anyway but the ending is the cherry on the cake. [Spoilers]

The film that makes me cry would have to be The suicide room (gets you right in the feels)

For song I think i would choose Nagisa's song (Dango Daikazoku) from the beautiful anime Clannad.

The scene in The Girl WHo Leapt Through Time when Chaki leaves. The Lilo and Stitch scene above too gets me. As does the ending to The Orphanage. And the ending to Infernal Affairs.

Songs though...hmm...not sure I have a weepy song. At least not that I cna remember.

The end of Les Miserables (both film and theatre) are big ones for me:

Older pokemon fans will know the feels. Ah man I cried to this in the movies.. Eh I still feel weepy but nostalgic kind.

Oh and first time hearing this song I cried. It just makes me feel all sad now though.

I descovered this piece only 3 years ago and I think It's some of the most phenominaly emotional music I've ever heard. and this is just the first 10 minutes of a 4 hour opera.
    Another classical weepie.
