IKR. I suspect it's because they're showing the first ep at SDCC, so wanted to minimise the time between then and the release because of leaks, spoilers, etc.

Managing to open a foil of a chase rare at the Magic Core Set 2017 prerelease followed by another valuable chase rare in the bundle I bought today. I've opened so much value I may as well sell them and have the rest of my cards for nearly nothing.

enterplay has a sale on CCG cards which, in addition to a better dollars-pound conversion rate, hopefully means I don't have to pay a customs charge on them :D

also omg something about international trade has made me smile

the idea of Trump cards has also made me smile :3

Mainly the Worcester meal meet today, which was very enjoyable. But also getting my highest ever scores in My Little Karaoke. :)

I got a phone call out of the blue today from a company that had interviewed me for an accounting job twice, the most recent of which was in the past few months. Apparently an unexpected vacancy came up and they wanted to offer me the job. I joyfully accepted. :D

Definitely not mom's car breaking down, but you know what made me happy... the police officer who helped us asked what game I was playing. I showed him it was Sonic Battle, told me he has a blue SP and he use to love playing Sonic Battle. :D I met an officer who likes playing Sonic!!!

Also, as the car was getting repaired, a local shop had a big MLP display.

Wasn't that bad despite what happened. :D

In one of local charity shops where I live they had an other of 5 DVD's or CD's for a pound, while going through an endless stream of Friends and House DVD's I found something that took me by surprise. A sealed complete season one of Dragon Ball Z on DVD. So basically I paid 20p for a boxset which is useally £25 In HMV bargain!

Something I've been anxious about for months now is missing an opportunity to pick up Mighty No. 9 for Wii U at GAME. Sure enough, when I checked in last week, my usual branch had stopped doing old Nintendo games entirely... but, as luck would have it, the other branch nearby still does, and had exactly that game!

I picked it up along with four others (some old Wii physics puzzler, Rhythm Paradise on Wii, Bayonetta 2 and Star Fox Zero) and that was a great haul on its own. But what lifted me over the moon when I got back was the discovery that the MN9 box was complete - it contained a manual, mini-artbook and awesome double-sided poster!

Like, I know, the game's supposed to be awful. I could not care less. I wanna play through it, experience it, bad or good, and even if I don't enjoy it, that doesn't change how much I love the art, designs and concept of the game. And that's why those little extras were such a great surprise for me.
