Were you one of the final two today?
Nah it was Pat and I. The 'not shipping' refers to the fact my card pack is themed to 'Brittany Ferries', which my family bought on a trip to France years ago.
Sounds like you all had fun today. I'm hoping to get to another of these at some point, but not sure when.
My Mystical Orb of Fate's Destiny prophesies that it will be somewhere around early October.
Anyway, thank you to everyone who came along today! In spite of the early finish, it was a fun meet and I'm quite proud of how hard I had to work to avoid winning Chase the Ace this time. Thanks especially to @CuldeeFell for a very interesting and thought-provoking discussion at the end. See some of you next weekend in Nottingham, and for the rest I hope to be at the next Worcester meet in three weeks' time.
Thank you for that discussion Logan. It was good to be able to discuss some things in depth (that sounds more serious than it was, it was ponies we were discussing in depth ). But it was a good discussion, and thank you for waiting for my train with me.
It was good seeing the other people there as well, and hopefully I'll see some of you at UKPonyCon next week.
Thanks for a fun meet today guys. Victory in Chase the Ace was an added bonus!
A really enjoyable meet today, great to see everyone.
Yes, an entertaining and enjoyable meet, terrifying Fluttershyness and all. Thanks to everyone, and all I can say is that one day I shall have my revenge in Chase the Ace. But that day may be a long way off...
That was a fun meet! It was great to see you all [email protected]:
Thanks to @Patrick Rowberry for organising the Secret Santa and to my mysterious benefactor for the latest addition to the Pink Army
glad you enjoyed the secret Santa as its "1 more day to the holiday"
Thanks for another enjoyable meet today, particularly Pat for sorting out the Secret Santa.
I’ll certainly find time in the near future to watch The Last Unicorn.
Thank you to everyone. Thank you especially to @Patrick Rowberry for the Secret Santa organisation. I'll hope to be a participant when next year's rolls around. It was nice to have a decent turnout today, too, even if it was a little squashed until we were able to reclaim our rightful table.
I refuse to mention a certain card game.
I got the sense that for the final 2018 meet, the 15th was a more popular option than the 8th, though I guess that's a discussion more suited to the main thread. So for now I'll just say that today was fun.
Thank you everypony for an awesome meet!! Special thanks @Patrick Rowberry for organising secret santa!
Also thanks to my secret santa, I shall post a picture when I find a frame for the artwork. Very much in love with it
Thanks very much to everyone who came along to the final meet of the year! Very good to see @MachinePony at Worcester finally (I was away the last time you attended) and also that @Ursa was able to make it for the first time in quite some while. Happy Hearth's Warming to all, and to all a good night!
Sorry for the late reply, I had been so busy I barely had any rest. It was a good meet and I would had stayed longer if I wasn't on a budget. I like to thanks @Loganberry, @Dodj and @Pigasus for the Christmas cards.
I'll be looking at property in Worcester, Birmingham and Bromsgrove after New Year for my move by April so I'll be very busy but I will try to attend as much meets as I could. Anyway, here is my message for the holidays.
Thanks everyone for a nice first meet of 2019 today.
Yes indeed, thank you everyone! For various reasons, I really needed a few hours to switch off from other things, and I certainly got that. It was a very nice afternoon.
Sorry I missed the last meet, I was in Worcester last week on Thursday with my mate for a pub crawl. He wanted to check the place where I'm moving to out.
Also I doubt I would be able to come to any Worcester meets for the next two months. I'll be too busy checking out flats in the city and preparing for my move. Also I'm going to the monthly Birmingham meet on the 26th, as well as gigs within various weekends and such.
It was good to see everyone again today, glad we had such a decent turnout for this one.
Hopefully the few of us wandering off to play game of life wasn't disruptive to the group dynamic as a whole... and if that collection of words doesn't actually mean anything you're free to shift them around into an order that does. =p
The important thing, though, as I'm sure we'd all agree, is that I beat @Patrick Rowberry at the game; turns out friendship and a fulfilling life is more important than money. =p
I really enjoyed today too, great to see so many of you.
I think it worked out reasonably well, you guys seemed to enjoy the game and we chatted about various things in the meantime, and everyone seemed to convene again at the end.
